Today I’m focusing on a designer I absolutely love love love – Rachel Zoe.
There’s an elegant, grown up, classy lady feel to the entire collection. She did what she does so well, impeccable tailoring, easy laid back yet chic looks.
I’ve had a style crush on sequins for a while now, she did it so beautifully well, the off shoulder beautifully draped, floor length sequin dress is stunning.
I love this collection, it’s beautiful. I loved every single item sans plunging necklines of course, what would I give to popularize the more demure pieces.
Ok, look out for more great fashion in part 3!
The lovely Rachel Zoe

New York Fashion Week hit the ground running and it’s been beautiful fashion all around, so far I can already see some trends. Military is for sure making a come back but it’s still too early to tell how major it’s going to be, pleats are showing up again and colour and prints are going nowhere.
I will be kicking off my reporting with my new designer bff Rachel Zoe *big grin*
There’s so much to love about RZ’s first runway show, so much to love. As always, the seventies influence shines through with the pussy bow blouses and sequinned dresses. More impressively, I love the disregard for the somber hues that characterize fall fashion, there was so much colour. The variety of fabrics, texture, patterns plus impeccable tailoring gave the collection that eclectic, passionate vibe that Rachel Zoe herself exudes. Love the richly draped silks, they caught my eye, nothing says luxe like silk.
I give this collection an A+, Rachel Zoe is soaring to the top.
Lace found its way into the collection and completed it for me. Minus the faux fur – because I’m not particularly crazy about fur – this has to be my best look of all.

No better way to end the year than by taking a look at one of my best designers of the year: Rachel Zoe. This lady is fast taking Victoria Beckham’s place in my heart. I love the way she stays true to her style, love love love that 70s influence, and the tailoring is heart stopping. Very sleek chic, very up my alley.
Her Pre Fall 2012 collection is stunning bar the almost-up-to-the-navel slits. I’ll always have furrowed brows about the excessive show of skin in fashion but what we do is pick the good out of the scandalous. Just like I said at the beginning of the year, I’ll say again, fashion is to cover up nudity not expose it. Well, we’ll keep blazing the trail in looking super fashionably modest, scouts honour, so help us God ;-)
Have a Very Merry Christmas and an AH-MAZING 2012!

When a fashion connoisseur cum fashionatic cum stylist to hollywood chics launches a line, it’s for sure something to look out for. Asides from her credentials, Rachel Zoe is to be loved because she is one person who is passionate about what she does, she makes it look like the great fun that I’m sure it is. Her reality series ‘The Rachel Zoe project’ was my fashion fix for a good part of last year. I’ll be watching the new season 4 as well, starting the back episodes this week.
Anyways, on to my Spring 2012 retrospective….
After being a stylist for a long while, Rachel Zoe decided to launch her very own fashion label. The first collection was for fall 2011 and she made a brilliant showing.
What I love about this Spring collection, which she showed during NYFW, is how versatile, graceful and pretty the pieces are. RZ is a seventies inspired girl, her style is very distinct and its reflected in the collection. I kinda like it when a designer’s collection reflects their style a la Victoria Beckham in the earlier days. What better way to endorse the brand?
The maxi dresses and tailored pieces have to be my favourites, the inclusion of ruffles here and there add the right dose of girliness without being too sweet. That cobalt blue jumpsuit? Is so badly wanted!
All in all, j’adore
