You know a fashion trend is going to be massive when two major designers base their entire collection around it. So, all lovers of stripes, in every imaginable expression, here they are.
I particularly like the long dresses and the embellished horizontal striped dress. I find it completely fascinating that the entire collection was made up of stripes, in so many different ways. I mean, how far can you stretch your imagination? Big pat on the back to Mr Marc.
And just when you thought you had seen it all, Tommy Hilfiger does it in a whole new way, blazers, leather dresses, the whole gamut – in stripes! Get ready to see in stripes come Spring 2013!
If there was one trend I loved this season, it was the peplum. So it was great to see it still in the running for Spring 2013. Love what Jenny Packham did with it! I’ll take that polka dot dress any day.

The clothes and shoes in the Louis Vuitton collection were pretty, very quaint and girly. A huge departure from the 70s disco party from last season.
I admired the use of laser cut lace and pastel shades and the lacey umbrellas the models clutched BUT it was the bags that grabbed me and didn’t let go. What beauty! The colours, the sizes, the styles. Louis Vuitton is so so hard to beat when it comes to bags and luggage.
I fully and totally heart this bag line up. If this really is Marc Jacobs’ last collection for Louis Vuitton, it’s a very fitting finish, we’ll be waiting for him at the Dior end.
All these picks are loved and very wanted. Lol

The Polka dot is grabbing my attention right now. It’s the classic print that makes its return to the fashion spotlight over and over again. If you’re a polka dot lover, there’s something to get excited about because you’re about to start seeing some pretty polka dot pieces in the shops again.
While it’s not a major trend for Spring, there were enough pieces from designers in the Resort 2011 collections to create a mini trend.
I picked out my favourites from Resort and checked out some pretty polka dot pieces to stick in the wishlist.
Now there are dozens of ways to wear this trend and it’s exceptionally beautiful when combined with a bright, solid, preferably contrasting colour. I’ll be very careful combining it with another print, the objective is not to look like a clown but to retain that sleek chic style. The best way to wear with another print is to combine with larger prints a la Marc Jacobs (Resort 2011). Just make sure the style works before you walk out that door, lol.
Check out some beautiful pieces to get you fantasizing.

This editorial is the best expression of Spring 2011 I’ve seen so far. It channels key trends for Spring 2011 and screams girl power, that’s my best part, gotta love girl power. The shoot has got so much oomph! Coming from New York Times Style Magazine, this is definitely Zing!
The fierce model group wore some of my favourite designers, Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Oscar de la Renta and Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, featuring lots of bright colour and floaty floral print. Love Love Love!

Spring 2011 is looking awfully beautiful for fashion. But then, it was pretty obvious from the Fashion weeks. I’ve been looking at the accessories over and over and it’s a deluge of beautiful pieces to choose from.
Talking about the bags, it is a sea of endless possibilities ranging from clutches to totes to the new small bag. I already did a previous post on my top 40 Spring 2011 bags. Right now, i’m awed by these pieces I consider pure art. My favourite is the Lanvin with a bronze leaf detail.
